“The Truth About --The Lie About”

Chapter 3

God’s Plan and Purpose

for the Ages

(Luke 22:18 KJV) For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

This is saying that Jesus Christ -- the Lord -- being in His resurrected body now -- won’t drink of the fruit of the vine until He does it with us in His Kingdom. That event will happen in real time -- sometime in the future when we are all gathered to Him in our glorified bodies.  But this is also saying that Jesus the Christ in us -- won’t drink of the fruit of the vine with us -- until we learn to drink of it with Him -- in the Kingdom of God within us.

When we partake of communion -- the Christ within us won’t join in with us -- unless we take communion with the correct understanding.  We will talk about the correct understanding later.

I believe that God the Father’s purpose for the ages to come is -- To establish Jesus Christ as King and place Him on the throne of His Kingdom forever.  There are many Truths included in that purpose and that is God’s purpose forever.

The Kingdom of God will be established on the basis of the power of Love and Forgiveness -- not on the power of might and war.  It will be established on the foundation of gift righteousness and blessings by inheritance -- not on works righteousness and works to be blessed.

The Truth of the power of God’s gift of righteousness -- seen as Love and Forgiveness -- seems to have been lost in the view of Jesus’ return in the book of -- (Rev 19:11 KJV)  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

In righteousness He makes war and that is our clue as to how it will be accomplished.  It will be done in righteousness -- not unrighteousness. Well-- How do you make war in righteousness? You don’t -- it’s the glory of righteousness that is a consuming fire that goes before us and burns up all unrighteousness. We are to come in righteousness and the glory of righteousness does the rest.  The glory of righteousness is a fire that destroys unrighteousness and it just does that.  We don’t do any works to make that happen. The glory just goes forth because that is our inheritance

(Rev 19:12 KJV)  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

(Rev 19:13 KJV)  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

He comes with His cloths dipped in blood.  He came into the battle that way and so the blood must be His own blood and not the blood of men.  His blood brings the righteousness of God on Him by inheritance and so-- the glory of that righteousness destroys the unrighteousness of those opposed to Him,

(Rev 19:14 KJV)  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

(Rev 19:15 KJV)  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

(Rev 19:16 KJV)  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

If Jesus is going to establish His Kingdom on the basis of war and slaughter as it seems in His return in the book of Revelation -- where is this Truth of loving your enemies as yourself that He taught so clearly in the Gospels.  I believe that the interpretation of that scene in the book of Revelation is far different than what we have been taught in the past. The vesture that is red with blood isn’t the blood of others -- it’s Jesus’ own blood that He shed for the souls of men.  So -- having died for the souls of men why would He come and kill millions of people and have them all perish.

Jesus comes to change hearts -- not kill people. If those people won’t receive the King and His Kingdom -- then the glory of that Kingdom will destroy them. Not by works but by the glory of God’s presence.  Jesus is coming -- ready or not.

We see from these verses that the power of righteousness goes forth out of the mouth of the Lord like a sword to put down His enemies. We see the illustration of this Truth in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus goes aside to pray.

He prays that -- although He would that this hour of trial would pass from Him and He wouldn’t have to go through it because of the shame and pain of it all -- Jesus says to the Father -- not my will -- but thine be done. At that point Jesus was praying as He had taught His disciples to pray.  He had gotten the victory over His own will and submitted His circumstances to the will of His Father.

He arose from that prayer with resurrection power because His will was submitted to the Father’s purpose. Jesus had -- in effect -- been to the Cross in His heart and was resurrected in the power of His Father’s will before He actually went to the Cross in real time.

Then -- that power was evidenced as Jesus spoke to the crowd that came to take Him when He spoke to the soldiers in answer to their question -- Where is Jesus of Nazareth? Jesus answered --I AM He.  When Jesus spoke that -- the soldiers went backward to the ground from the power of His Word.  That is the glory of righteousness doing what God’s glory does.

That power is what is seen when Jesus returns to the Earth to defeat His enemies.  He will do that by His Word -- not with swords and spears.  It’s the power of God’s love for people that will cause Jesus’ Word to go forth and defeat His enemies.  It’s not a time of bloodshed -- it’s a time of over powering Words of love from the God of love for people.  The people that hear that Word won’t be able to stand against its influence over them. Those that resist His Word will be sent away into everlasting darkness to live in the place that they have chosen for themselves.

The Secrets of

the King and His Kingdom

(Isa 45:3 KJV) And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

The Greatest of All Gifts

The greatest of all gifts from the Father to us is -- the King and His Kingdom.  The foundation of that Kingdom is -- righteousness by a gift and multiplying by inheritance. This is the gospel of the Kingdom of God.  This is the True Gospel.  Any other message is a false gospel.

(Gal 1:6 KJV)  I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

(Gal 1:7 KJV)  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

(Gal 1:8 KJV)  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

(Gal 1:9 KJV)  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Paul says in -- (1 Cor 4:19 KJV) But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.

(1 Cor 4:20 KJV) For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

And again in -- (Acts 28:30 KJV) And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,

(Acts 28:31 KJV) Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Gospel of the Kingdom of God

(Heb 6:13 KJV) For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

(Heb 6:14 KJV) Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

(Rom 4:3 KJV)  For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

(Rom 4:4 KJV)  Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

(Rom 4:5 KJV)  But to him that worketh not, ( receives by inheritance) but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Righteousness is a gift that blesses and multiplies you by inheritance.

This is the foundation of the King and the Kingdom of God. We are righteous by a gift and we are multiplied by inheritance. When I’m born again -- I’m a son or daughter of God and I’m invited to live in my Lord’s Kingdom. This is a simple Truth -- but it has eternal implications. Try to remember it because it is the foundation on which God has established Himself as Lord and His Kingdom as an everlasting Kingdom.

I believe we shall know the King and His Kingdom no other way. Every statement in this book is based on this Truth. The whole Truth of God is based on this statement in Hebrews 6:14. That is hard to believe at first -- but as you read and study you will see that it is an all inclusive statement. Listen carefully to what it says.

(Heb 6:14 KJV) Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

##################################################################

We can see that same statement that God made to Abraham in Genesis chapters 12 -- 15 -- 17 and 22.

(Gen 12:1 KJV) Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:

(Gen 12:2 KJV) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee (son-ship), and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:(multiplied)

(Gen 12:3 KJV) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

(Gen 15:6 KJV) And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

(Gen 15:7 KJV) And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.(blessed by inheritance)

Then again in -- (Gen 17:1 KJV)  And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

(Gen 17:2 KJV) And I will make my covenant between me and thee ( son- ship), and will multiply thee exceedingly.(inheritance)

And again -- (Gen 22:16 KJV)  And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

(Gen 22:17 KJV)  That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

(Gen 22:18 KJV)  And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

This is what God promised Abraham and this is what Abraham believed. Then --  because Abraham believed what God told him -- God counted him righteous.

(Rom 4:1 KJV)  What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

(Rom 4:2 KJV)  For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

(Rom 4:3 KJV)  For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. This is referred to again in Galatians 3:6 and James 2:23

So remember -- what God told Abraham was -- (Heb 6:13 KJV)  For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

(Heb 6:14 KJV) Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

Because Abraham believed what God told him -- God called him righteous.  So from this we can see -- this Truth is what righteousness is.   Then -- because you believe that Truth -- it makes you righteous.

Now also remember -- when we believe something as truth -- we act on that belief.  Our actions are the evidence of our belief.  Abraham acted on what God told him because he believed God. So the kind of believing I’m talking about isn’t just mental assent that what you are hearing is perhaps true.  The believing I’m talking about is the kind of belief that moves you to respond to the truth you are hearing.

Then from this we can see that -- if believing this Truth makes you righteous -- then not believing it makes you unrighteous.

We should also note that it is what Abraham believed that made him righteous -- not what he did. It’s what we believe that makes us righteous -- not what we do. What we do is the evidence of what we believe. It’s what we believe that makes us righteous and then -- what we do is the evidence of the righteousness we are.

Abraham believed God and was declared to be righteous -- then -- he submitted himself to circumcision.  Circumcision was the evidence that he believed -- but it was his belief that made him righteous. He was righteous before he was circumcised.

(Rom 4:11 KJV) And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

It’s imperative that we understand this. God has established the seed form of the Truth as -- (Heb 6:14 KJV)  Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.  When we believe that promise from God to us -- we become righteous.  When we become righteous we are reborn as sons of God. When we become sons of God we become kings in our Father’s Kingdom.

I’m to believe that I”m born again before I see any evidence of it.  We are to believe the harvest is in the barn before we harvest it or we are going to be working to be blessed. I must believe my body is healed before I feel it or I will begin to work to be well. I must believe I have the promise before I see it or I will begin to work to get it.

When we believe this seed form of the Truth -- we are like a farmer that has been given a seed.  We become a sower of good seed. Now we must put that seed in the ground of our heart -- or plant that seed within us by believing it and committing ourselves to what it says. We have been made righteous by a gift -- now we will be blessed by inheritance only. I do not work to get what I see myself already having.  I must see myself as a son and a king or I will begin to work to be that person.

That Truth of blessings by inheritance only -- will kill the old nature in us that wants to be blessed by our works. The moment we allow that seed of Truth to take root in us we begin to die to our old ways.  Everything becomes dark to us.  We have never been this way before. Now we must live by the faith of the Christ that is in us. When that seed begins to spring forth in the resurrection life of son-ship and kingship --we receive it through blessings by inheritance. Then --we begin to do the righteous acts of a son and the ruling acts of a king revealed by that Truth.

Remember this sequence.  We are declared righteous when we believe the True Gospel of righteousness by a gift and blessings by inheritance.  When we are given the righteousness of God we receive a new heart. This heart is preprogramed to say yes to God. My new heart will always desire to say yes to the voice of the Lord.

My heart is put in control of my mind and will tell me what the will of God is-- if I will listen. If that new heart isn’t telling you to say yes to Jesus and His commandments -- then it isn’t new. You can’t be born again and have a new heart and not be saying yes to Jesus. If you aren’t saying yes to Jesus’ statutes -- commandments and laws -- you don’t have a new heart. Actually saying yes to Jesus when He asks us to believe Him and trust Him is progressive -- but a new heart will have a desire to say yes even if I can’t do it yet.

   Foundation of Righteousness

Then God went so far as to say -- because God could swear by no greater than Himself -- He swore by Himself that -- this Truth of the Gospel would be the very foundation on which God would be able to call all things righteous.

Then God would go even farther and decree that even He is righteous because He also stands on that Truth. So then -- God would submit even Himself to this Truth and reveal that His own righteousness is founded on this Truth of the Gospel of -- righteousness by a gift and blessings by inheritance.
