Every Knee will Bow
(Rom 14:11 KJV) For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
At the name of Jesus Christ every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. His name is the name that is above every name. Christ is seen in a different light in every book of the Bible -- and never has there been a person like Him. He is Christ the Lord of the Old Testament and the Lord Jesus Christ the revealed King of the New Testament. He is every bit God and every bit man.
The Wonder of Jesus the Man
We donít realize at first just how different a creation Jesus was and is. Within Jesus the man -- Christ the Lord died and was buried. Christ having taken up residence within the man Jesus -- Christ the Creator would never reign again over the Universe because He created it or from a life that had never passed thru death. Jesus the man would become reigning monarch over Creation and He would receive that place by inheritance from the Christ that died to Himself that He might live in Jesus the man. Then Jesus would surrender to Christís Lordship over Him. This book is so long and the events are so profound I may have said this before but it is so important to grasp this. We need to understand what is transpiring. The Lord Christ Ė the Creator and sustainer of the Universe is stepping down from His throne and submitting Himself to another of His creators called man. Jesus the man Ė a created being in the flesh-- is the new dwelling place of Christ the Lord. The dirt body of Jesus the man is the new home forever of the Lord Christ. An eternal oneness is being established so that the decree that Christ the Lord made: that no being that hasnít passed through death to self rule can live forever in the New Omega Kingdom of God. All of heaven must stand in wonder as to these events. Truths that even the angels have to look into to understand. Lucifer is totally confused at this turn of events. Satanís kingdom is crumpling around him and he doesnít know what to do.
When Jesus was born -- Christ the Lord was born again within the man Jesus and Christ was submitted to the man Jesus. Christ could use His power only when the man Jesus agreed. That is an amazing Truth when we realize that the mighty Creator --Christ the Lord-- is willing to submit Himself to the manhood of Jesus.
Phil.2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
When the baby Jesus was born -- the mighty Christ the Lord was in Jesus. He was there in Jesus as a mighty all powerful God --while at the same time submitted to the authority of Jesus. He had taken the place of submission to authority. Our Lord doesnít ask us to do anything that He doesnít do first.
We donít believe that Christ was any more conscience of Himself at Jesusí birth than our spirit man was when we were born. He couldnít be or He wasnít tested in all points like we are.
I believe that the mighty Lord Christ was like asleep in Jesus. He was like Adam was when he was put to sleep and Eve was taken from his side. Christ was put to sleep and Jesus was taken from His side.
He was waiting for Jesus to grow up and find His way to understanding the mighty Christ that was in Him. When we are born again that is the place that Christ takes up in us. I believe that Jesus found Christ as He searched for Him in the Scriptures. Jesus found Him the same way we do. Seek the Kingdom of God first and you will find Christ there within you waiting for you to know Him.
I ask -- Why would the mighty Lord Christ want to take such a place. I can see that He might want to do that in Jesus -- but why would He want to do that in us? I believe it was because of His great love for the Kingdom of God that God wants to establish. That is the reason why we want to live forever. To establish a place that is so satisfying and exciting that eternity is necessary so that we can search it out forever.
(Col 1:27 KJV) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Before Christ created man Christ was the ruling monarch in heaven under the authority of the Father and Holy Spirit. The Scripture doesnít say Christ was called King in Heaven but He was King over all things created. Then God -- Father Son and Holy Spirit -- wanted to spread their Kingdom throughout the Universe but He wanted to share the rule of it with His sons. So He sent Adam out from heaven to become the second attempt to establish a ruler over the earth that would submit to the Lordship of Christ over them. It appears like the first attempt to do that was with the angels but Lucifer let that whole realm astray by promising them that they could be their own lords and bless themselves by their own power.
Adam was the King over the earth and the Spirit of Christ that was with him was subject to Adam as far as ruling the earth was concerned. Adam had full authority over the earth and so -- Christ in Adam was subject to whatever decisions Adam would make concerning the earth Ė even to the point that Adam could give the rule of the earth to someone else.
So -- we see that Christ the Lord willingly submits Himself to this new creation called man when He places man in authority over all the earth. Christ indeed doesnít grasp after authority and equality with God as though that is something that should be coveted. Thousand of years later Jesus willingly took the place that His Father appoints to Him.
Much of the world today knows Jesusí name and most all Christians love that name. Another name for Jesus is -- The Truth. (John 14:6 KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus is the Truth about everything. He is also the Truth about His Kingdom -- called the Kingdom of God. Jesus tells us the Truth about His Kingdom in the Bible -- but it is almost a forgotten Kingdom in the teachings of today. Yet --the Kingdom of God is mentioned 69 times in the New Testament and the Kingdom of Heaven is mentioned 32 times in the Bible -- all in the Gospels.
The reason that Jesus came into the world was to reveal the Kingdom of God to Creation.
(Luke 4:43 KJV) And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
The Truth as Jesus tells it is the foundation of the Kingdom of God and -- because it is an Everlasting Covenant of Truth -- Jesusí Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom.
Jesus said in -- (Mat 6:33 KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
You see -- there it is again. The Kingdom of God and His righteousness is a two part Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is King Jesus and His righteousness is blessings by inheritance. The Kingdom of God is King Jesus and the Kingís realm is the realm where blessings come by inheritance only.
That is what Jesus wants us to do -- Seek and Understand how the Kingdom of God works in this world -- because you canít separate King Jesus from His Kingdom and live victoriously in this world. You cannot be subject to Jesus the King and at the same time -- try to live the ways of the kingdoms of this world.
The emphasis on seeking just the King without understanding the Kingdom of God is why Christianity lives such a defeated life. That is what this book is about: finding not only King Jesus but His Kingdom as well. Knowing King Jesus as our Savior is our experience of being born again. Living in the Kingdom of God now -- is our experience of knowing Jesus as Lord and experiencing Godís blessings by inheritance.
In the lives of people that are really born again -- making Jesus Lord is the only sensible thing to do. They know that -- unless and until they do that -- they arenít going to be able to live with any kind of peace and victory in this life. Most real believers are trying to make Jesus Lord of their lives -- but they are at a loss as to just how to do that. There is certainly very little teaching today as to how to do that.
I see coming on the Christian scene now a drifting back to teaching that we must keep the laws of Moses to be righteous. No -- we must focus on who we are in Christ and what is ours by inheritance first. Then -- keeping the law will become written on our hearts so that we love to do it. The laws of Moses become the evidence of who we are.
Teaching grace without understanding who we are and what is ours by inheritance will cause us to go astray trying to get free from the law. Then teaching the law to bring us back to righteousness is the pendulum swinging from one extreme to the other -- never finding the Truth that grace is given to us so we can come to the Truth of blessings by inheritance and the Lordship of Jesus the Christ over us.
Teaching the True Gospel of righteousness by a gift and blessings by a gift of inheritance causes us to know and experience Jesus as Lord and fall in love with Him for His goodness to us. Blessings by inheritance sets us free from works to be blessed. That Truth changes our heart and so --the law becomes written on our hearts and we delight to do it.
In order to live in the reality of the Kingdom of God -- I must first make Jesus the King or -- Lord of my life. As I surrender my lordship to Jesus -- He shows me -- on a daily basis -- how to live in the reality of His Kingdom. I believe that process is hidden in the second half of the True Gospel. Itís called -- multiplied by inheritance.
That part of the Gospel is almost totally missing from the preaching of today. Most of what we see and hear is blessing by works. We are taught we have to earn everything we get now and we have to do it in the kingdoms of the world.
Blessing by inheritance is essential to living in the reality of the Kingdom of God. That means that all things have to come to me by inheritance. Itís mine by a gift of inheritance. That means that I didnít work to get it. It was a gift.
When a son is born into a royal family his relationship is that he is a son -- but his inheritance is Kingship when he is old enough to rule over lands. That is his inheritance. He doesnít have to work to get it. It will be given to him when the appointed time comes.
We have talked about this in other parts of the book but we always have to rehearse it because it always comes up. The question arises Ė Well --does that mean I shouldnít work at all?... Of course not. We are to work harder because we donít have to do it to live. We do it to accomplish our Fatherís purpose for us and those around us. We just donít work for mammon of the world; We work to learn and grow and our Father supplies all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
When we were born again we were born into a royal family and became sons of our Father God. Now-- our inheritance is to rule as kings under the authority of our King Jesus.
We shouldnít get proud or lifted up by that because it came to us by inheritance. Our main concern should be to get ready to take that place of authority when it is given to us. Our focus should be to get ready -- not try to climb and claw our way to the place of authority our way. If Iím successful at growing the worldís way I will get proud and if I fail at that I will get angry and resentful for the circumstances of life.
Our life now should be to get ready to rule in places of responsibility over Godís stuff now -- so that we will be ready to rule over our own stuff later.
This Truth lived -- sets in order the affairs of our life. For instance -- when I believe that Iím blessed by inheritance -- I stop trying to accumulate wealth by working seven days a week or very long hours to get blessed. So --the law that says -- keep the Sabbath holy becomes a real guide line in my life. I wonít work or support people that work on the Sabbath. Just that one guideline followed -- will change your whole life. That doesnít mean you canít do things on the Sabbath that you enjoy -- but it does mean that you donít work for money or support those that do on the Sabbath.
If I follow what starts out to be a law of keeping the Sabbath -- it will lead me to the place where Jesus will bless me without working on the Sabbath. I will see that I will be blessed by seeking the guidelines of the Kingdom of God first. Then -- what was the law becomes such a blessing to me I donít have to resist working on the Sabbath -- I donít want to.
Right here we should talk about the basis for giving because right giving is a Kingdom principle. What Iím hearing taught today about giving is in much error. The Kingdom principle for giving is in Ė Exo. 16:18 and II Cor. 8:15. They both say the same thing so I will only quote --
II Cor. 8:15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
That is the basis of both giving and receiving in the Kingdom of God. When we surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in us we are supposed to be taught that we have an inheritance. That inheritance is called the riches of God in Christ Jesus. They are real riches Ė not something we have to die to get later.
That is to be our supply and so --we are made into a harvest looking for a place to sow the seeds of Godís Kingdom into the earth. When we believe this Truth we donít store up nor do we worry where our next increase is coming from. We become givers with a joyous heart. We are a harvest and not a need. We are a sower of good seeds of the Kingdom of God.
This teaching about giving to get an increase so we can be blessed turns Kingdom giving into the Lie of giving to get Ė or working to be blessed.
Ask yourself the question -- do you ask a person for your inheritance? No! You donít ask for it. Christ died and gave us our inheritance. When Christ the Lord gives us his inheritance He is really giving it to Himself because we are His inheritance as we surrender out lives to His Lordship over us.
(Psa 2:7 KJV) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
(Psa 2:8 KJV) Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
If you will notice in verse 2 that the words ďtheeĒ and ďforĒ are utilized meaning-- the translators put them in there to help us understand the text -- but in this case those added words change the whole meaning of the verse. The verse really says: Ask of me and I will give the heathen thine inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
That is exactly what the Lord Jesus Christ did. They asked the Father to give us their inheritance and that is what He did. Then --when He did that and we submit ourselves to His Lordship and surrender all of ourselves to Him as Lord -- we give Him back the inheritance that He gave us and so -- God receives all things by inheritance as well as we do.
When we donít submit ourselves to Him as Lord --we betray Him and give His inheritance to another god. What a tragedy when we do that. The Lord trusted into our hands His inheritance and that we would choose Him to be Lord over us so He could reign over Creation by inheritance and then we donít do that and begin to serve another god called Satan. His intent is to steal Godís inheritance and rule in His place and when we wonít submit to Jesus as Lord --we help Satan do that.
Oh Ė we shouldnít miss this opportunity to bless the Lord and at the same time establish ourselves as someone that God can trust with the riches of the Universe.
He who gathered much had nothing left over. He who gathered little had no lack. That is Kingdom giving. I-- as a believer of the true Gospel-- need to go forth seeing myself as an ambassador that Christ the Lord is in looking for places to give His inheritance to bless the world so they will know He is a Lord worth serving.
Church giving now is more like selling someone something -- or asking for money so that this great work that God is doing wonít go bust. I must get two or three pieces of mail everyday from Christian organizations asking for money to support the work of God. Theyíre asking for money all the time -- instead of just letting me know what they are doing and let the Holy Spirit tell me what to do for them.
They donít do that because they donít trust the Christians to have enough sense of the Spirits leading to do what the Spirit of God says to do. Guess who taught the Christians the lies they believe about giving? The very ones that are asking for the money.
Or even worse -- maybe the Spirit of God isnít in what they are doing -- so just in case He isnít -- they will raise the money their way.
Is it just me -- or is there something wrong with all of that advertising and selling the Gospel for a profit? They say Ė We donít sell the message Ė itís free but we donít send the lesson out until you give the gift. Give me a break. Theyíre selling the message.
I heard a lengthy message this morning from a ministry that I admire greatly but it was not true. He taught that when the harvest comes be sure to store up so that you will have food until the next harvest. That isnít what those verses say. They say: Donít store up; They say: Give what you donít need today to those that have need today.
In other words -- you will be sowing every day. Seed time and harvest will never stop but seed time is every day you have something left over. That is obviously the lesson in the Israelites collecting the manna. Donít store up for tomorrow is the lesson.
When I sow every day-- the harvest catches up with the sower. That principle is the only way that the harvester will catch up with the sower Ė yet --I donít know of anyone that teaches not to store up. They all say invest in something and get the interest off the increase. Build wealth by storing up is there belief. The Lord will have to clear this up before the Kingdom of God is going invade the earth as Jesus taught it.
I donít believe that investing money into what God has called you to do is wrong. Buy lands and build what you are called to do -- but spend the money so that you arenít in debt for what you buy. Donít have a lot of cash invested in the world system for future needs.
When prosperity comes to a believer through inheritance he isnít proud -- or self-centered. He is humbled to know that God has been so good to him and he truly wants to share that goodness with others.
When I know that Iím blessed by inheritance I donít tend to store up for the future. I become a source of Godís gifts to others. This part of the Gospel is the hardest to believe and enter into. We see the evidence of that Truth in the early New Testament Church in that they had all things common. That means that they didnít cling to things that were theirs by inheritance.
They were a supply to the needs of those around them without worrying about where the next increase was coming from. They saw the inheritance and therefore -- they were a harvest that was sent from God to meet the needs of the world around them.
There was none of this Lie that they were giving out of their need. They werenít a need looking for a supply. -- (Acts 4:34 KJV) Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
They were a harvest looking for a need. They were looking for someone that they could help by supplying their need from Godís abundant inheritance to them.
They werenít giving to get. It didnít matter if they could or couldnít see the abundant inheritance that they had from God. They knew that they had one and they gave by faith out of it. They brought all their tithes into the storehouse so that all the needs could be met. They didnít do that to get more increase. The increase came because they were giving out of their inheritance and because they believed that was true -- the increase came.
That is how you prove God. You donít give to get Ė you give because you believe God when He tells you that you have an inheritance. That giving proves that God is telling you the Truth and He sends the harvest as the evidence of His promises and so you can give more. Then the world sees that you are following a great God that is good to His people.
There is another aspect of giving in the early Church that we have missed. Each of those early believers had been with Jesus or His disciples and they knew about the reality of the Kingdom of God in their lives. The Kingdom of God wasnít just a theory to them. They all knew about the story of how when the Ark came to Obededom God blessed his household in all things Ė here is one of the verses ó
(2 Sam 6:11 KJV) And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
(2 Sam 6:12 KJV) And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
So here is a simple principle of the Kingdom of God. Make a place in your house for the Lord to abide and He will come to visit you and when He does --your house and you will be blessed above measure.
So I believe the early believers did that Ė had a place set apart for the Lord in their houses and so -- they could meet at any house they wanted to and there was a holy place in that house where God would meet them and bless them.
We are not supposed to go to a healing meeting and hope we will get healed. We are supposed to get into the presence of the Lord and that is where healing is real.
