The main purpose of Jesus is to establish His Kingdom throughout the whole world -- then the Universe.
(Luke 4:43 KJV) And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
The only and true gospel is the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. When someone is drawn to that Gospel and are born again by receiving Jesus as Lord -- they can see the Kingdom of God. To be born again -- you have to receive Jesus as Lord. Then -- you can see the Kingdom of God. So-- being born again is the means to the end. The end purpose of God is to establish His Kingdom on the Earth and throughout the Universe.
God has purposed to establish His Kingdom forever so that forever will be a blessing and not a curse. To live in God’s Kingdom -- you have to come under the Lordship of the King of the Kingdom of God.
The reason that this idea of accepting Jesus as your personal Savior and not your Lord is so popular is so that a person can get saved and when they die go to Heaven. That way they can live according to the kingdoms of this world without surrendering their life to the Lordship of Jesus.
We-- as Christians -- are seeing and reaping the effects of that kind of believing today. You can hardly tell the difference between a Christian and an unsaved person and I’m not talking about gross sinning. It’s easy to tell the difference there -- but I mean the difference between the righteousness of God and the self- righteousness of religion. That self-righteousness is the false gospel. Paul states it in -- (Gal 1:6 KJV) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
(Gal 1:7 KJV) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
If a person rejects the Truths of the Kingdom of God -- he makes it impossible for the Lord to help him because the Kingdom of God is the only and final provision for all mankind. If you reject its ways -- you have no other options to get help except to live in the kingdoms of this world and do things their way. When you reject the Kingdom and its ways -- you automatically accept the world and its ways -- which is a death sentence. Those two kingdoms are the only choices. If you persist in that rejection of the Kingdom of God -- there is no point in you remaining here on the Earth because that is why the Lord sent you here in the first place.
When you reject the King or His Kingdom -- you are kept alive by God so that you won’t die and perish forever. God is giving you more time to change your mind and believe the True Gospel. Don’t waste that time on the foolishness of the world and its lies.
God wants the Kingdom and its life for His own pleasure as well as for all of those that want to be with Him in His Kingdom.
(Heb 1:1 KJV) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
(Heb 1:2 KJV) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
(Heb 1:3 KJV) Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
(Heb 1:4 KJV) Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Notice carefully how Jesus received His Kingdom -- by inheritance. If Jesus received His Kingdom by inheritance -- who died so that He could have it? To receive something by inheritance someone has to die and give it to you.
Answer -- Christ died so Jesus could receive the Kingdom by inheritance.
This is an awesome revelation to me -- that Christ the Lord receives Creation by inheritance. The way that happens is in Psalm 2-- it says that the Father asked the Son – to ask the Father --to give the heathen His inheritance. We talked about that earlier that if you leave the italics out of verse —8
(Psa 2:4 KJV) He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
(Psa 2:5 KJV) Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
(Psa 2:6 KJV) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion
(Psa 2:7 KJV) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
(Psa 2:8 KJV) Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
When Christ did that – asked the Father to give His inheritance to the heathen -- the Father did it. Therefore -- the inheritance of the Universe passed out of the hands of Christ the Lord into the hands of man of which the first was Adam.
Then Adam lost that inheritance when he believed The Lie and came under the authority of Satan. But in verse 6 the Father – looking forward to the day when Jesus would be born says that He has placed His King in Jerusalem. Then King Jesus sets His heart to go to the Cross and pay for Sin. When Jesus does that-- the inheritance that was lost by Adam comes back to the second Adam and the Universe comes back into the authority of King Jesus and Christ the Lord that is in Him.
Now in order for the inheritance to become a reality to Jesus the King – we as sons of God through receiving Jesus as Lord have to give our inheritance back to Jesus the King so that He is now King over willing subjects. Men and women that have chosen to make Jesus Lord over them.
Jesus is not Lord over you until you give yourself and your stuff to Him as Lord over you. When you do that the inheritance that Christ asked the Father to give us heathen -- comes back to Jesus the Christ. That is why we must make Jesus Lord over us and not just Savior.
(Eph 1:18 KJV) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
We are Christ the Lord’s inheritance only if we give back to Christ what He gave to us. If we won’t do that we surrender that inheritance to another god – which is us.
From this I can see that after I give back to Christ His inheritance that is hidden in me that God Himself has received all things by inheritance just like we have and that He will rule over — not because He built it – but because He inherited it from me when I died to my own will and submitted myself to Him as my Lord.
