Chapter Nineteen
Even our Father God Receives by Inheritance
(1 Cor 15:28 KJV) And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
This is saying that the Son -- the Lord Jesus Christ -- isn’t subject to the Father until the Father has put all things under the feet of the Son. The Father is giving to Jesus all things by inheritance.
Then the Son will give that new Kingdom to the Father as a gift. So the Father receives by a gift of inheritance the same Kingdom that is built on righteousness by a gift and blessings by inheritance.
God the Father -- Son (Jesus Christ -- there is a man in the Godhead today) and Holy Spirit have established their Kingdom on that Truth and therefore --placed the Godhead on that same foundation by receiving their authority and Kingdom that same way.
This understanding requires much more explanation -- but I believe that as we look into the Truth of the Bible -- we will find that the Godhead has gone so far as to place Themselves under the authority of that Truth. God didn’t establish a Truth that He Himself is exempt from. He has submitted Himself to the same Truth as we do.
God lets us work and build things and then offer them to Him as gifts -- but we’re never to think that we are creating something apart from God giving us both the raw materials and the ability to do whatever we do. What we give to God is never payment for work -- nor does He owe us anything for what we have done. He doesn’t need us to get the things He wants. He allows us to express our love or gratitude by serving Him through giving Him something -- but never as payment for a debt that He owes us.
There is no competition in getting blessed by gifts. You receive from the giver all that He has for you. When you realize that God has created the Universe as big as He has so that there will be an endless supply of gifts for His children -- you begin to see and understand His abundant love for all of us that are His.
(Psa 19:1 KJV) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork.
(Psa 19:2 KJV) Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.
(Psa 19:3 KJV) There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
(Psa 19:4 KJV) Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
(Psa 19:5 KJV) Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
(Jer 31:3 KJV) The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
Remember that God’s kind of righteousness is righteousness by a gift and blessings by inheritance. On the other hand -- The Lie says you can be blessed by works and saved by works. Almost every believer I know would say -- Oh -- you can never be saved by works -- but they will not believe that you can only be blessed by inheritance. The reason for that is -- Saved and lost people alike want to work for their blessings. Not to work for them makes their blessings conditional on God giving them their blessings as He wills and they don’t want to wait for that.
If you don’t think this issue of working for your blessing is all that important to you -- consider how many of the things you have that you have received by a gift from God and that you didn’t work to get -- or how many times you have given out of your lack in order to get an increase.
This Lie of working to be blessed has been taught for years in present day Christianity. We’re taught to give out of our lack and God will give us an increase. That is giving to get and that is working for your blessings.
The Gospel tells us we are blessed by inheritance. That means that we have an abundance through inheritance. It doesn’t matter if it looks that way or not. By faith we have an abundance by inheritance. So our giving must always be out of our abundance. We sow seed out of our abundance of inheritance. That is how we must see ourselves in order to be acting in faith according to what God has told us is the Truth.
When we believe that and act on that Truth -- we are always giving out of our abundance. So we are never giving to get. We are a supply to the earth -- not a need looking for a supply. We have to see ourselves as Jesus says we are -- Him living out His life in us as a supply to the earth.
We are the Temples where He lives His life out on the Earth so that He can bless the earth through us. This idea that we are a need looking for a supply by doing good works of giving is what The Lie is. Belief of that Lie is the reason that most Christians are living way below what God has for them -- both in finances and health.
From this we conclude that one of the Laws of the Kingdom of God is -- (Exo 16:18 KJV) And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. This is established in the giving of manna to Israel. They were not to gather more than they could use that day.
(2 Cor 8:15 KJV) As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
