Chapter Thirty
Seeds of Life -- Seeds of Death
(Gen 2:7 KJV) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
(Gen 3:20 KJV) And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
I conclude from what God has shown me so far -- that what God brings forth with His Words -- or breath -- are vessels that will reproduce His life – His spiritual life. He breathed into Adam the breath of life. It was the breath of God’s life. It was not His works -- it was His creative breath.
Then God formed their bodies from the dust of the ground with His hands. Works that come forth from God’s hands signify His works.
What God fashions with His hands are His works. God formed Adam from the dust of the ground with His hands. So Adam was the product of both God’s breath of life and the works of God’s hands.
God’s life is eternal and it has only the seeds of life in it. God’s works are not eternal until they pass through death and become born again. God’s works have the seeds of death in them until they are born again by the Spirit of God’s breath.
The question would then come up -- Why would God’s works have the seeds of death in them? Didn’t He say in Genesis that He looked at His works and each day called them good? Yes He did -- but is there a difference between good and perfect. Is there a difference between high and higher?
We believe that God is infinitely high but He reveals Himself in higher and higher revelation because of our inability to receive. Each time we learn something about Him we see Him in a higher and higher place.
God’s works were good depending on the way that Creation used them. Obviously -- although the works of God’s hands were good -- they caused a curse to come on Adam and Eve because they used them wrong.
God’s works are changed from good to perfect when we believe the Truth about them and by faith use them correctly. We accomplish that when we die to our own will and purpose and choose to submit to the revealed will of God. We die to our own way and are made alive to God’s ways.
Then -- we are changed by God’s work into a new person that has been perfected by the things we suffer. So God’s works are lifted from high to higher.
(Heb 5:8 KJV) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
(Heb 5:9 KJV) And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
(Heb 5:10 KJV) Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Remember that when Christ the Lord took up His life in Jesus the man -- in God’s view -- Christ moved to a higher place. We know that is true because the Scripture says that every knee will bow to the name of Jesus. Well -- Could that mean that even Christ the Lord will bow to the name of Jesus? I believe that the answer to that question is yes -- because when Christ the Lord took up residence within the man Jesus -- Christ bowed to the authority of Jesus. Christ -- by His own will -- has taken His place under the authority of King Jesus the man.
That idea is almost incomprehensible -- that Christ the Creator would submit Himself to the authority of King Jesus the man. Yet -- that is what the Scriptures say.
(Phil 2:10 KJV) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
(Phil 2:11 KJV) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus the Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
It is in Jesus the Christ that we are made perfect and we are because we have the resurrected life of Jesus Christ in us. He has come into us because we have submitted ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus. Christ will only enter those that have made Jesus Lord over them.
