Kingdom Parable -- The Hid Treasure
The parable of the ďHid TreasureĒ is a revelation of this Truth.
(Mat 13:44 KJV) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
I believe that this parable is telling us that life is like a person walking through the world and he really isnít looking for anything in particular -- but he stumbles on this treasure. Heís like walking along and trips on something. He looks down and sees something sticking out of the ground. He uncovers it by digging in the Earth and finds a Truth hidden there. He finds out that Sin is dead through the Cross of Jesus Christ and that he can live in this Kingdom where Sin is both dead and buried.
You see -- Sin is a treasure if it is dead.
So -- he leaves the treasure buried so that Sin will stay dead in His life. Then -- he goes and sells everything in his life that isnít dead to the worldís ways and buys that life or field to live in.
You notice he didnít buy the treasure -- he buys the life where the treasure is hidden. Do we realize that there is a life where Sin is dead? Itís the life of the Kingdom of God. We live according to the teachings of Jesus. That is the life where Sin is dead because Iím dead to that world of self-rule. Itís the life where Iím no longer my own lord because Jesus is Lord over me. I no longer own anything. The King owns me and everything He has given me to watch over for Him. The Bible calls it -- having nothing and yet -- owning all things.
When the Lord first starts to build the foundation of that life -- I realize that the Lord is really the builder. I must get my direction from Him because I have never been this way before: Except the Lord build the house they labor in vain that build it. (Psalm 127:1)
The foundation the Lord is building is part of the whole structure. Heís putting a lot of thought and focus into that foundation phase of the plans for my life -- I realize that when it is finished I will cover the foundation up with dirt and no one will be able to see it because it is full of my dead mistakes -- but it will be holding up the structure the Lord is building on it which will be the Temple of Godís dwelling place forever -- in me for all to see.
So -- the beginning of every house is its foundation. The beginning of every kingdom is its foundation. If the foundation is strong -- the house will last forever. What is the strongest foundation that I could possibly lay? The foundation where dead Sin is buried.
So it is with God: The foundation of the Omega Kingdom of God that will cause the Omega Kingdom of God to last forever is the Alpha Kingdom where Sin is dead and buried.
When Sin entered the Alpha Kingdom of God -- the first step in the building of the Omega Kingdom of God was laid. Because -- when Sin entered the Alpha Kingdom -- God pronounced death on that Kingdom and buried it in eternity past. That foundation -- is the foundation that God will build His Temple on that will last forever. When Lucifer introduced The Lie into Creation -- God said to Lucifer -- the father of The Lie:
(Ezek 28:15 KJV) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
(Ezek 28:16 KJV) By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
The structure or Temple I build on that foundation will then become the glory of that foundation. Why would I want to glorify that place where Sin is dead? Because when I understand that where Sin is dead -- Truth reigns.
For that same reason we glorify the Cross. At the Cross Sin died and therefore -- life reigns. Iím afraid that most Christians donít see that when they are singing songs about the Cross.
The Cross was a huge disaster if we donít remember the resurrection. You must never separate the two as one event. Without the Cross the resurrection is false hope. Without the resurrection the Cross was a failure. You canít dance around the Cross unless you see the resurrection. If we donít see and love the victory over self-rule we will always be sad as we look at the Cross. We say -- itís sadness over the death of Jesus -- but how can we be sad over the death of Jesus when that death is the doorway to such glory for Him and us.
The blood of Jesus on the ground under the Cross is the likeness of death to the Alpha Kingdom. The Cross is also the foundation of the resurrection where death is swallowed up in life.
As the blood of Jesus Christ flows down onto the dirt below the Cross -- the Earth becomes the place of the death of Sin -- as well as the death of the God of the Alpha Kingdom.
Then -- when the Lord Jesus Christ arises from the tomb -- the Earth becomes the place of the birth of the final Omega Kingdom of God and the Omega King: the second Adam.
The foundation is there -- but it canít be seen. Although the foundation is holding up the structure built on it -- the structure gets all the glory because itís in the seen world. We canít see the foundation but -- by faith -- we know itís there and without it the seen part of the structure would collapse. The spiritual Kingdom is the foundation that the physical Kingdom is standing on.
So it is with the Kingdom of God: The unseen part of Creation is the foundation of the seen part of Creation. The death that came into the Alpha Kingdom because of Luciferís Sin -- entered into the Alpha Kingdom and leavened it unto death. This was known to God before He laid the foundation of the world.
When Iím building the foundation of a structure -- it is necessary to get right down into the hole where the foundation will be poured. The hole is like a grave and even in this life when we build a house we are acting out the same pattern that God established for building a Kingdom.
The hole in the ground is like a grave that I am in. It is the place of death and -- if I have never built a house before -- I have to trust in the planner that designed the house; If I follow the instructions -- the house will stand when it is finished.
So -- God established a pattern in that because Sin entered into the Creation that Christ is building -- He got down into the grave of the Alpha Kingdom and so -- became its foundation through death to Himself in Christ Jesus on the Cross.
We begin to understand that the Lord Christ couldnít just destroy the first Creation because Sin entered into it. If Christ did destroy that first Kingdom without using it -- that would mean that it was a mistake. We know the Lord doesnít make mistakes.
God knowing all His works before He even started building -- also knew that when a created being -- in this case Lucifer -- believed The Lie that he could bless himself by becoming his own lord -- that Sin would enter Creation. Christ also knew that -- although He didnít cause Sin -- He would use it to build a greater Creation that would be immune to Sin in the future. He truly does make all things work together for our good.
Because of Sin and the Lordís conquering of it -- an eternal Kingdom would come forth from the grave into resurrection life -- of that Kingdom there would be no end. Thatís what Jesus taught and that is what He died on the Cross to establish. Jesus the Christ is both King and Lord of that Kingdom. Christ the Lord and Jesus the King.
Religious people think that Jesus came to die on the Cross for our sins. No! He came for much more than that. The payment for Sin is what it cost the Lord to establish His Kingdom forever and we are the benefactors of that payment. Christ Jesus paid for Sin and so -- our Sin is payed for. When we submit ourselves to the King of that Kingdom that payment is accounted to us. When we do that -- we become a part of that Kingdom where Sin is dead and buried. Christ Jesusí payment for Sin extends into the infinite future.
There are untold millions of spirit beings yet unborn as humans that are waiting for us to get into our place of relationship and service with the Lord so they can be born. Each man and woman has millions of seeds within their bodies that will bring forth these spiritual children of God our Father -- if we will take our place in the Kingdom of God. God said to Abraham Genesis:
(Gen 26:4 KJV) And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
