INTRODUCTION
Transfer of Inheritance is Fulfillment of Purpose
Fulfillment -- Why are we here on this Earth in this existence called life. As we get older the more that question comes up. Where did we come from? (Jer.1:5)
It says in Jer. 1: 5 that the Christ knew us before we were born into the earth. We existed before we were born. Where are we going? In this moment called time -- What is God’s purpose for each one of us?
(Psa 2:6 KJV) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
(Psa 2:7 KJV) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
(Psa 2:8 KJV) Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
If I write this eighth verse without the italicized words in it (put there by the translators) -- it reads like this:(Psa 2:8 KJV) Ask of me, and I shall give the heathen thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for their possession.
Now that the Lord Christ has done that (given us His inheritance) we have inherited the Universe as our possession. Now -- What are we to do with it?
There was a Captain of a great spaceship navigating His way through deep space on His way to His new home. They had been traveling for a long -- long time when one of the important leaders on the ship made a move to take over the ship and pilot it to his own destination.
When he did that -- many of the crew followed him in his rebellion and in the struggle for control of the ship -- the Captain was mortally wounded. As He lay on the deck of the ship bleeding from his wounds -- His hands and feet crushed under the twisted steel -- He asked some of His own family that were passengers on the ship to carry Him to the pilot house.
They carried Him there and laid Him on a table near the steering wheel where He could see out of the forward looking windows.
As He lay dying of the wounds that the enemy had inflected on Him -- while trying to get control of the ship -- He said to one of His sons -- I give you this ship and all the souls on it for your inheritance. Now son -- pilot this great ship to our destination.
As the son stepped to the wheel and looked into the deep space before him -- he knew that he could never take this ship to its destination. He knew almost nothing about piloting this great ship home safely. He didn’t know the destination nor did he know the way.
But almost immediately -- thoughts came running into his head that this great ship has been given to me by the Captain and I’m now captain of my own ship. Maybe I could do this great thing. I’ve always wanted to be the decider of my own destiny. Isn’t this the chance that I have always waited for?
After all -- those that wanted to take over this ship by force wanted to be the captain and determine their own destiny and now I have been given that chance by the Captain Himself.
He had almost convinced himself that -- even though he didn’t know the way -- maybe he could do it. He was surprised to learn that he wanted authority and recognition so bad that he would risk his life -- all the lives of those with him -- and the ship -- to have it.
Then -- he turned to the Captain and said -- Sir -- I will steer this great ship wherever you say -- but you are still the Captain of this great ship through me. Through my hands and feet I will set the course wherever you say -- but Sir -- I give this great ship back to you as its Captain over me.
This great ship is of course the Earth. The Captain is the Lord Jesus Christ who gave His inheritance to us because He was to die as Captain of the Earth because He made it.
He gave His inheritance to man as the Father instructed Him to in Psalm two. So on the Cross -- He gave His inheritance into the hands of man. Because we are of the human race and heathens -- we have been given Christ’s inheritance.
Now the question for each man is: Will you -- by self-rule -- attempt to pilot that ship that is hidden within you -- the Kingdom of God it’s called -- to its destiny -- or will you give up self-rule and turn your ship back over to the Captain of your salvation -- thus giving the Lord Jesus back His inheritance as a gift from you to Him; Then -- let Him pilot that great ship to its destiny?
Perhaps you are one of those that will grasp after equality with God and retain lordship over yourself. Piloting that great ship and all the souls hidden within your body to the wrong destiny?
When the first Kingdom failed because of Lucifer’s choice to live by self rule -- Christ placed His Kingdom within His sons. He formed His son’s bodies from the dirt of the Earth. That is the equivalent of a great ship filled with the sons of the Lord going through space to a new home.
Christ placed within those sons His Kingdom and gave them His inheritance. His sons became Christ’s dwelling place forever -- if they will surrender self-rule over to Him as Lord.
Jesus Christ can’t inherit His Kingdom until we give it to Him and that Kingdom is hidden within each son that is made in His image. The Lord died to His own will and submitted to His Father’s will in order to give us His inheritance.
When we die to self-rule (by submitting to Jesus as Lord) we give to Him our inheritance. So -- He becomes Lord of the Kingdom of God by inheritance through man. That is why God is mindful of man. Man is God’s rescue plan for the Universe that was cursed because Satan contaminated it with The Lie called Sin.
(Eph 1:18 KJV) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
The information in this book is an effort to give deeper understanding of the purpose of God for each person and their eternal destiny.
The distinction between the word “rebellion” and the word “self-rule” makes it clear that rebellion can still be the foundation of our lives even though we are doing a lot of good things like talking about the Kingdom of God and going to fellowship twice a week. We can do all those things and still be living the life of self-rule. We don’t look rebellious because we aren’t doing bad things -- we are just in control of our own choices and purposes. That is still not being submitted to the Lordship of Jesus over our lives. When we do that -- we are not on the Lord’s ship -- we are on our own ship.
